Hired originally to work in the kitchen, during slow periods, I sought additional responsibilities. Eventually, I noticed a void in operations leading to excess waste in wet inventory. Presented the manager with a plan to create a new position to mitigate losses and improve the profitability of the store. Selected to head new position with additional responsibilities such as hiring, training, and submitting orders to vendors.
I relocated to Erie to continue my education and transitioned back to a kitchen role due to my availability. After six months I decided to leave the company officially to pursue my bachelor's degree in engineering.
